- Step 3. Introduction. We’ll schedule a meeting where you can tell us all about your passion for music and your experience as a luthier.
- Step 4. Approval. You’ll receive a contract clearly outlining all terms and conditions for both parties.
- Step 5. Onboarding. While we set everything up behind the scenes, it’s time for you to read our official handbook, which contains all the essential information about using our online client portal (including instructional videos), our quality guidelines, pricing structure, customer communication standards and step-by-step instructions for all common setups and repairs. Here you will also find everything you need to start purchasing from our suppliers with exclusive discounts.
- Step 6. Get started. You’ve prepared your workspace and have all the required tools and equipment. We’ll visit you in person to walk you through our systems. You will receive your login credentials, we’ll provide you with our Instrument Passports and we will begin advertising your location. - Self-employment. You operate through your own sole proprietorship, giving you the freedom to set your own hours and workload.
- Proven experience. You have demonstrable experience in setting up, maintaining, repairing and restoring all different types of stringed instruments.
- Your own workspace. You have a professional and safe workshop at home, equipped with the right tools for every job.
- Customer service. You’re able to welcome clients into your home and ensure timely and efficient repairs.
- Passion. You work with passion and have a sharp eye for detail, treating every instrument with care.
With an average revenue of around €100,- per customer (incl. VAT) and around 15 customers per week, you can expect a solid return for your craftsmanship. You decide how much you want to work – part-time or full-time, giving you full control over your schedule. Your earnings are automatically paid out weekly through our payment system. For the use of our platform you pay a monthly fee of €150,- (excl. VAT), which covers the fixed costs needed to keep your location running smoothly. This includes hosting for our website and mail server, maintaining the automated payment and invoicing system with all necessary software licences and our advertising budget for customer acquisition. In addition, we charge a 10% commission per completed repair, which is used to cover our variable costs. There are no further costs for the website, marketing or any other administrative, financial or operational matters. No hassle with accountants or marketing agencies – we provide an all-in-one solution, saving you both time and money. We also cover all transaction fees for online payments (such as iDEAL and credit card transactions).
The one-time onboarding fee is €100,- (excl. VAT). This covers the creation of your webpage and the setup and configuration of our automated payment and invoicing system for your location. We also handle all marketing and SEO for your location, so you’ll only have one thing left to do – fixing guitars. You will receive our maintenance booklets free of charge, with unlimited restocking when needed. You’ll also receive a free starter supply of guitar care products from Monty’s Guitars.
