Who is Leon from Gitaar Afstellen Rotterdam?

Leon is probably one of the few specialists in the Randstad who looks at your instrument through the eyes of a furniture maker, listens with the ears of an audio-engineer and performs setups with the precision of an audiologist. His foundation began with technical training in furniture making, specialising in wooden musical instrument construction. As a qualified Audio Engineer (SAE) and musician with over thirty years of experience, he understands that great recordings and live sound always start at the source. A guitar should therefore sound clean, open and transparent. Thanks to his background as an audiologist and owner of Minerva Hoortechniek, he also has in-depth knowledge of human hearing and acoustics.
In addition to regular maintenance and professional setups, you can visit us for specialised fretwork, guitar/bass modifications and repairs. From slotting a bone nut to assembling and soldering your custom Warmoth or Allparts projects, we’ve got you covered. Another of Leon’s passions: bringing vintage guitars, including Japanese models, back to life. Musicians from across the Randstad trust this craftsmanship, from The Hague and Zoetermeer to Delft, Vlaardingen, Dordrecht and Gouda. Our workshop is conveniently located near the A16 (Hillegersberg/Schiebroek exit), making it easy to reach by car.
